Margot Austin, magazine editor of Style at Home furnishes her home in an updated colonial style and decorates it with primitive decor. Her home in Tweed, Ontario was featured in the Canadian Style at Home Sept 07 issue. Even Martha Stewart mentions it is one of her favorite kitchens. Austin's kitchen featured shades of grays from the color of her walls to the stainless steel appliances to the wall decor. She tells Creed Blog she used CIL Meeting House in the lacquer formulation in a satin finish from Benjamin Moore for her cabinets. The walls were painted in Farrow & Ball's Slipper in a satin sheen, and the trim & ceiling were painted in Farrow & Ball's Pointing. Besides the beauty of the old wood floors and lovely antique Windsor chair, the farmhouse kitchen island really makes the room.
